Morten Greaves

Morten Greaves is a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in the field of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I), specializing in early childhood education in international settings. He is a British/Danish national who has worked in early childhood settings in Denmark, England, West Africa, USA, and Lebanon. His Alma Mater is the George Washington University in Washington DC, where he completed his master’s degree in International and Comparative Education as well as his Doctorate. He completed his doctorate in the summer of 2018 and is currently working in the capacity of visiting assistant-professor at LAU.

Morten teaches undergraduate students in areas associated with early childhood education, as well as courses related to qualitative research methods and educational philosophy. His research focuses on a number of different areas related to education: early childhood education; language acquisition in early learning settings; non-formal refugee education; lived-experience and teacher perceptions; autoethnography and tertiary education; learner perspectives of online tertiary education.

When not working, Morten spends time with his family and three young children. He is also an enthusiastic saxophonist who plays jazz concerts in the greater Beirut area.
