The School of Arts & Sciences

Department of Natural Sciences

Suggested three-year study plan (students enrolled in fall 2018)

The chemistry program, which satisfies all requirements for entry to medical school, provides students with a solid background in the fields of basic sciences and practical research. This program prepares students to competitively pass the standard Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) required by the medical school. On one hand, students enrolled in this program are subjected to a variety of concepts and laboratory experiences that improve their ability to compete for admission to medical schools. On the other hand, senior students can readily participate in local or international internship programs to increase their chances of obtaining a permanent and lucrative job in the industry or academia. Alternatively, students who graduate from this program can pursue graduate studies (Masters and PhD) in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry or material science, to name a few.
