The Fouad El Abd Food Innovation Lab (FIL) is a 100-square meter functional space located on LAU’s Byblos campus. The lab is comprised of a core kitchen lab, a support lab service room and a meeting room.

The FIL provides hands-on practice to relate culinary, nutritional and food safety theories to practical applications. It is used by nutrition and hospitality management students, and may be employed by external entities at a cost.

A number of courses such as quantity food production, meal planning and food preparation courses are currently offered in the FIL.
