Early Childhood Center/ Lab School

Citizens of the World

The Early Childhood Center is a historically established center dating back to the 1950s. Housed on the beautiful premises of LAU’s Beirut campus, the ECC is located on the ground floor of Shannon Hall.

Keeping in line with its historical and pioneering role in early childhood education and the field of education in general, LAU has launched the Early Childhood Center. The ECC continues in line with its historical reputation in providing a high-quality and developmentally appropriate learning experience in a rich and stimulating environment for young children. LAU aims at creating an exemplary ECC that is unique in Lebanon and the region and offers a major initiative that will serve the University and the community.

The ECC coordinates with the Department of Education and other departments at the University to offer the most appropriate child-centered curriculum and effective learning experiences based on current research findings. The ECC also offers placement opportunities to LAU undergraduate and graduate students to apply their knowledge and skills in theory and in practice.
