Her teaching experience stretches from the elementary school to the university levels.

Her MA focused on teaching English as a foreign language in the Department of Education at the American University of Beirut, and one year of her coursework was done at Boston University. Her fieldwork entailed initiating a writing center for the graduate School of Management there.

Habre’s main interests are the teaching of writing to second language learners and the testing of language in all its skills.

She has engaged in a number of teacher training programs, outreaching public and private schools in Lebanon. She frequently conducts and attends workshops, and has also participated in a number of local and regional conferences.

Habre is involved in projects that LAU is overseeing for a college in Oman and another in Saudi Arabia. Since 2004, she has been a member of an ad-hoc committee for the Scientific College of Design in Muscat, Oman. Her main responsibility is to oversee the English program there and train its English faculty.

At present, she is  directing the LAU Writing Center that was established in 2010. She finds the responsibility to ensure a beneficial one-on-one experience to students very rewarding.
