Sun brings open source awareness to campus
Posted June 5, 2009 in Computer Science & Mathematics
The Department of Computer Science and Mathematics in Byblos organized a “Sun Microsystems Academy Day” aiming to introduce the benefits of open source software to students and faculty. It was a good opportunity to network and expand career opportunities for attendees. Students received free packs from Sun including Solaris and Java.
The event, which took place in December 2008, was co-sponsored by the LAU ACM and IEEE student associations.
